Summer tips
How to take care of your skin during the summer season
Summer is finally here, the favourite season of the year for many people. Sun, beach, relaxation... It is the best time of the year to disconnect from routine and that is why we tend to forget about the impact it leaves on our skin: dehydration, sunburn, acne and, above all, the hated sun spots. With the change of weather, we notice a change in the state of the skin: with high temperatures and humidity, we tend to sweat more and we feel our skin more dehydrated.

What better time than summer to continue taking care of our skin and pamper our body? With the heat, we feel like eating a variety of fruits and vegetables, with a thousand colors and full of antioxidants. In this season in which the days last longer, we need to find a few minutes a day to dedicate fully to ourselves, and listen to our body. With the excess of heat, it is important to adjust the beauty routine to the state and needs of the skin, to help us feel better and take better care of our skin.
We must remember that sun exposure is the most important factor in skin aging and that in summer the sun's radiation not only increases, but is concentrated in a smaller space and lasts for more hours. Sun exposure is intimately linked to the appearance of spots and we must not forget that sun damage, which irreversibly alters skin characteristics, accumulates and as we often say: the skin has a memory.

How do I take care of my skin in summer and what active ingredients do you recommend?
The priority is SPF
It is important to find a sunscreen that you are comfortable with and that makes you feel good. Look for sunscreens with a high SPF of at least 50, apply a sufficient amount and reapply every two hours. Choose sunscreens with UV-B and UV-A protection. To avoid sunburn, sun damage and cumulative damage and on the other hand, to avoid future spots, photoaging and skin cancer. Remember that water acts as a mirror of radiation and even in the water we should not forget to use sunscreen.

Don't forget antioxidants
Some people, when they think of vitamin C on the skin - one of the most effective active ingredients - think of several things: on the one hand, the luminosity it leaves on the skin, its incompatibility with the sun and the fact that it sometimes stains the skin.
The first of these claims is completely true, it is scientifically proven and that is why it is considered one of the most useful and famous active ingredients.
The other two are popular legends! Vitamin C itself is not incompatible with the sun.
It is often thought to be incompatible with the sun because for it to be as effective as possible, vitamin C must be at a low pH and that usually means that there is a slight peeling effect on the skin. What to do to prevent the skin from becoming photosensitized? Use sunscreen every day and reapply as recommended.
Vitamin C not only does not stain the skin, but one of its virtues is that it helps fight sun damage and prevent and treat spots. Under daily sun exposure vitamin C helps regulate melanin production and that is why its use in summer is indispensable, morning and evening.

Always hydrate
With the heat and humidity we perspire more than in winter, and that is why many people think that there is no need to moisturize. When it comes down to it, it is precisely with the increase in temperature that the body, and especially the skin, tends to become dehydrated. That is why in this heat it is recommended to drink plenty of water, eat lots of fresh fruits and moisturize the skin.
To moisturize the skin the best thing to use is a serum with hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is your best friend in summer, as it absorbs 1000 times its weight in water and keeps your skin hydrated. HA Booster's formula is ideal in summertime because it is not sticky at all and is super light: your ideal ally for this summer's heat.
Tip: Think about putting it in a cool place like your fridge to get the best benefits for your skin and to get extra freshness
